These terms cover your use of Founding, a research and workflow tool for people setting up a company. By creating an account you accept them.

What Founding is, and is not

Founding gathers publicly available information about company formation in different countries and helps you keep track of the steps involved.

Founding is not a law firm, an accountancy practice, a tax adviser or a financial adviser, and nothing here is legal, tax or financial advice. We are not regulated to give it, and no relationship of professional adviser and client arises between us. Decisions about where and how to incorporate carry real consequences, and you should take advice from a qualified professional in the relevant country before acting.

Accuracy

Filing fees, tax rates, thresholds and residency rules change, sometimes without notice. The UK incorporation fee doubled in February 2026 during the building of this product, which is a fair illustration of the problem.

Every figure on the site is labelled with when it was last checked and, where we have one, a link to the source it came from. Figures we have not confirmed against an official source are marked Unverified. We make no warranty that any information is accurate, complete or current, and you should confirm anything you intend to rely on.

Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your password secure.
• You must give accurate information, and keep your company details up to date if you want the checklist to be useful.
• You may not use Founding to break the law, or to misrepresent who you are when dealing with a company registry.
• You can delete your account at any time by asking us. Doing so removes your company record and your checklist progress.

Third-party products

We describe banks, formation agents, accountants and legal tools from publicly available information. Listing something is not a recommendation or an endorsement, and we do not currently take commission from anyone listed. If that ever changes we will say so on the page itself rather than in a footer. Your dealings with any of them are between you and them.

Availability

Founding is offered as it is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption or free of errors, and we may change or withdraw features.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Founding is not liable for losses arising from your use of the service or from reliance on information published on it, including penalties, missed filing deadlines, or tax that turns out to be due. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page.
